Valentine Cheese Balls

February 13, 2011

Valentine’s Day, is a special day for most people around the world. This special day apart from gifts, chocolates, pink champagne and kissing, it involves eating specialties that will boost the desire for more… One specialty that is highly recommended is the French white goat cheese, chevre. It is a choice that falls within the Mediterranean foods and will enable you to follow your Mediterranean diet.

You can make colored appetiser Mediterranean diet cheese balls from French chevre and set the scene for a wonderful and loving and lovely evening.

White cheese contains Arginine, an amino acid, which is a natural feminine aphrodisiac since it makes the women feel more sexual by feeling younger and it also reduces the dryness of the vagina thus adding to the female sexual enjoyment.

The Ingredients

1 lb of French chevre goat cheese
3 Tbs of olive oil
Various smelling spices and herbs (of your choice)

The Execution Method

Prepare a mixture of various spices and herbs in a flat type of platter or tray. Such spices and herbs may be: finely chopped parsley, paprika, cayenne pepper, grounded pepper, red and black, roasted black and white sesame seeds, finely chopped chives etc. Keep each spice or herb in different sections of the platter.

Place the chevre cheese in a bowl and with the use of a fork mash the cheese, while adding the olive oil so that it will be a in a form that that can be moulded. Taking the moulded cheese with a spoon and using your palms form small cheese balls.

Place the balls in a platter, cover them and put them in the refrigerator for about 30 minutes, so that they would harden up.

Remove the cheese balls and roll the on the spices and herbs mixture so that the mixture will stick on the surface.

Depending on the herb or spice the cheese ball will have different color and taste. Put balls on a serving platter and put toothpicks on each so that they would be easy to be picked and consumed.

The recipe makes about 30 cheese balls.

Enjoy and Happy Valentine’s day.
