Feta cheese is a white soft cheese which according to the Mediterranean diet pyramid, can be taken frequently and it has many vitamins. It is one of the white cheeses listed in the white cheese component list of the Mediterranean diet. Olive oil, olives and the culinary herb thyme are also part of the healthy and trendy Mediterranean diet.
We therefore suggest that you leave behind your worries and whatever else is in your mind and prepare for yourself and loved ones this delicious and refreshing salad which has its basis the king of the summer fruits, watermelon, combined with other ingredients which you could not imagine they would combined and blend so harmonically. The summer salad recipe is as follows:
3 cups of watermelon cut in small pieces
¾ cup feta cheese
¾ cup green filled olives
1 red onion cut in stripes
½ cup of finely cut parsley
4 tbsp olive oil
Salt and fresh thyme
Take a glass bowl and put the watermelon pieces in. Cut the green olives in 3 parts and put them in the bowl, add the feta cheese after you break it with a fork, and then add the onion. Stir the ingredients carefully so as not to squash the watermelon. Put the bowl in the refrigerator until it is time for serving. Before you serve it add the olive oil, the salt and the thyme.
